At card-games.nz we want to be open about how our content is made. We use artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool in our editorial process, but every guide is reworked, fact-checked and edited by a person before it goes live. This page explains how that works.

How we use AI

We use the AI tool Claude (developed by Anthropic, claude.ai) to make parts of our work more efficient. That includes gathering research, organising the structure of a guide and producing a first draft. It helps us work faster and cover a game’s rules, scoring and variations thoroughly.

AI is always an aid and never the final word. Nothing is published in the form it leaves the AI tool.

Our human editing

Once a draft exists, an editor takes over. This is where the most important part of the work happens. Among other things, we:

The goal is that you always get content that is correct, useful and written for people, not for search engines.

Why we are open about it

We believe in transparency. Explaining how our guides are produced is a matter of trust: you should be able to rely on what you read here and know how it was put together.

We also follow Google’s guidance on helpful, reliable content. That guidance focuses on whether content is accurate and made to help people, regardless of whether AI was involved in producing it. That is the principle we work to.

Fact-checking and responsibility

Everything published on card-games.nz is covered by editorial responsibility. An editor reviews the material, and we update our pages when the facts change, for example when a publisher releases a new edition of a game or revises its rules. You can read more about who we are on our About us page.

Our content is information, not gambling advice

Our guides are informative and descriptive. Where we explain games that are also played for money, such as poker or blackjack, we are describing the rules. We are not encouraging anyone to gamble, and nothing on the site is gambling advice. In New Zealand you must be 20 to gamble in a casino and 18 for most other forms of gambling. You can read more on our responsible gambling page.

Found a mistake?

We work hard to get everything right, but errors can still slip through. If you notice one, we would be grateful if you let us know through our contact page, and we will fix it as soon as we can.
